Plot

In this sci-fi movie set in the future, Jake Sullly, (played by Sam Worthington) a paralyzed from the waist down veteran of the Marines, is sent to a planet named Pandora to be an active member of the Avatar project, which will allows his consciousness to be transferred, when asleep, into a new and healthy body. Pandora is peopled by a humanoid-like species, the Na’vi, a tall, blue-skinned race with a close relationship When he dreams, Jake's consciousness inhabits a Na'vi avatar.

A mining company need to move the Na'vi from their village, because it sits upon a vast mineral deposit. Jake's remit is to infitrate the Na'vi people and to manipulate them into following the company's wishes. But Jake's avatar falls in love with one of the Na’vi, and must decide where his loyalties lie in the war bettween the Na'vi and the ruthless corporation
